“We, the seeds of Humanity, are all the descendants of hardened criminals, fighting to survive the unmaking of A Throne of Souls.

Magic and technology have already met on a world far more advanced than our own only to dispense their most dangerous and hardened criminals, for magic has been outlawed.  Their descendants—us, here on Earth, along with the rest of Humanity—are now left to grapple with a Creation undone at the hands of an outlaw mage whose Master Plan affects the seeds of Humanity throughout the known Universe.  This outlaw—this Dark Knight of Magic—must accumulate immeasurable power to thwart the fork of consequences that brought forth the making of A Throne of Souls.  This story, this execution of his Master Plan originating centuries into the past, begins and ends with a triad of pivotal relationships and evolves through his understanding of his own soul.  Within the Master Plan, the dichotomy between hate and hope, across a landscape far beyond epic, is illustrated through vibrant characters developed over two-and-a-half decades.

While Black Mirrors of the Soul is the second installment in the series A Throne of Souls, it illustrates much of the beginning of the story, especially the back-story of The Cauldron of Hate that forged Damon. This is where you’ll read, see, and feel the fuel for the Fork of Consequences. This is the gut-wrenching, emotional journey that will have you screaming, crying, and cheering for more.  From the Monuments of Creation to the Seeds of Humanity to the making of A Throne of Souls, there are plot-lines and clues everywhere in this intricate mosaic for you to unravel.

I think my Proofreader summed it up best when she said, “I’m still trying to pick up the pieces of my emotions you just scattered all over the room.”

A Note from the Author:  This thought-provoking, epic, and cerebral thriller breaks all the rules crossing over Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Fiction, and Military-Fiction genres but as you start reading A Throne of Souls, it will become apparent why those rules had to be broken to tell this multi-world story of Humanity and Creation.  My goal in delivering this product to you was to be worthy of this inimitable story in the way that I tell it—to bring it to you in my voice, but to do so beautifully, elegantly, and intelligently.  There are several things that make this story unique including a flex-style narrative that changes with the scene and technology level available to those characters, a multi-perspective view within given scenes illustrating impactful moments upon a 360-degree axis, and a voice that is more consistent with real-world application.  Is it magical realism?  Sort of!  Is it complex?  Oh yeah!!  Think of it like a large mosaic with nuanced clues of information and disinformation that by themselves might appear to be something you recognize thought might not make sense, but when assembled with other clues provide shocking answers to questions you may never have considered.  It’s going to require a little effort for you to figure out what’s going on, but the plus side of that equation is that you’re in for a big surprise.

Now, if you’re used to stories that are your traditional ‘good’ vs ‘evil,’ single protagonist saves the world type of story, this isn’t that!  My protagonists are not always ‘good,’ and my antagonists are not always ‘bad.’  I believe characters should reflect the real-world, with real thoughts, emotions, and agendas.  I wanted to bring something entirely different to the market and this is about as different as literary fiction gets.  If it’s been a long time since you’ve read something that made you cry, scream, laugh, or cheer out loud, then A Throne of Souls was written for you.  Those are the kind of stories I like to read, and that’s why I wrote A Throne of Souls.  Please enjoy it with all my best hopes and wishes. – Charles W. McDonald Jr.”

“A wonderful, uplifting read.”
“A highly recommended, evocative read.”
“Intriguing, suspenseful story.”

Born gifted with a rare seventh sense—the ability to read human hearts coupled with keen intuition—protagonist Kate encounters the earthly dangers of her capabilities. She is often bewildered by her unique perceptions combined with seeing symbols and panoplies of color in people’s hearts.

Kate’s parents fear that their young daughter suffers from delusional psychosis. Their concerns are intensified by her claims that she has conversations with an angel. Yet it’s her naiveté of the intuitive signs that augur trouble.

This captivating novel brims with inspiration and daring while exploring issues relevant to many of today’s societal woes: prejudice, abuse, eating disorders, and limiting belief systems. It delves into the mysteries of death and of angels, plus intuition, finding God in all, and true love. Full of spirit, this poignant story is riveting while being thought-provoking and insightful.

This box set features the first three books in in the thrilling new Urban Fantasy series, Rhuna. (Book 1: Rhuna, Keeper of Wisdom, Book 2: Rhuna: Crossroads, Book 3: Rhuna, The Star Child)

Set in the ancient, mystical past when an idyllic Atlantis-like civilization flourished, and its people had exceptional powers to transform elements such as sand to stone and metal to gold with concentrated mental energy.

This utopian Atlan Empire is rocked when one of its most preeminent Masters rebels and seeks to subvert the ideals of Atlan society. Roaming the countryside in a black robe, misusing his powers on innocent people, he becomes known as the dreaded Dark Master.

On a distant and isolated island on the fringes of the Atlan Empire, a young girl named Rhuna comes of age when she meets a man from Atlán and learns that her father was an Atlan Master who was killed in his attempt to destroy the Dark Master.

Journeying across oceans and ancient worlds, Rhuna learns to master her inherent mental powers, transforming elements and summoning visions by means of the Gazing of the Waters. Unlike her peers, however, Rhuna discovers she has an extra power, namely the ability to summon visions mentally, without incantations or powders.

The first book in this extraordinary Urban Fantasy series lays the foundations of the Atlan Empire and Rhuna’s world, and even when the Dark Master appears to have been defeated, secret and sinister powers continue to threaten the ancient Utopia.

Books 2 & 3 are set in Ancient Egypt, where Rhuna journeys on an assignment to investigate strange reports of activities associated with the Dark Master. She soon discovers an astonishing underground network of the Dark Master’s followers, along with the secret group of Atlans dedicated to stopping them. In the process of trying to carry out her assignment, Rhuna is confronted with enormous challenges that could drastically change her entire life and everything she has ever believed in!

Residing in Ancient Egypt for a while, Rhuna’s personal life undergoes great upheavals, but the appearance of her father, whom she thought long dead, gives her life purpose and direction. The skills to perform Astral Projection and similar advanced techniques equip Rhuna for what is ahead, when a neighbouring country wages war on all Atlans living in Ancient Egypt!
