Mercie Hillbrook lives a simple, quiet life working as a gas station attendant. Then her parents are killed. Her home is taken. The people responsible are excused for just doing their job. When an attempt to get justice her way lands her in trouble with the law, Mercie realizes she still has something to lose: her own life.

Then she finds reason to believe her parents were murdered… and she doesn’t care anymore.

“Chris Roy has written a fast paced taught kill thriller with a strong and unreliable main protagonist. Mercie has everything taken from her – her parents, her home, her job, her inheritance, her sanity, and finally, her freedom. But fate and a Vietnamese boy called Kermit lend hope to a cornered and dangerous woman and as Mercie contemplates her survival and revenge she is sure of one only thing – a man has his muscles, and a woman has her mind.

“Roy delivers on the edge of your seat story-telling with rough edges, crooked cops and a tiny light at the end of the tunnel that is never quite extinguished.” – Tom Vater, Journalist, Co-founder of Crime Wave Press

Malik Dahli, a friend, is having family problems. His nephew is in trouble and he refuses to tell his uncle the truth. Afraid of the police and alone in a strange country, he thinks no one can help and he has nowhere to turn. He’s wrong on both counts.

Crime/Mystery Short Stories – Severed Heads

Publisher: Lulu
Published: July 2017
ISBN: 978-1483473024
ASIN: B074JH26PX
Genre: Crime Fiction, Short Stories, Mystery
Formats Available For Review: epub, pdf

Three short stories that form one cohesive story within the intermissions.

Story one: The Hearts of the Helpless, is a butterfly effect. It shows the destruction of five main characters. Each character is indirectly harmed by the character’s before them.

Story two: We DIE in gray Skies, is a story about a rapist. He uses his childhood to justify his actions. Gray resembles the contrast between right and wrong.

Story three: The Wicked Within, is a collection of stories. It’s about all the horrific acts we do or think about doing on a daily basis. Central theme centers around vanity.

It’s wrapped around an opener, closer, and two intermissions that tell a completely different story. It’s a hopeless romantic love story of finding your lost or severed “head”.

Crime/Horror Short Stories – Dangerous Women

dangerous-womenDangerous Women
By Robb. T. White
Publisher: Ravynheart Publishing
Published: September 2016
ASIN: B01LZ8MSD0
Genre: Crime/Horror Short Stories
Formats Available For Review: kindle

Barbie dolls and inviting friends to backyard tea parties. Some, like the twins of “The Birthmark,” are sweet—and cunning as Norwegian rats, a truth the boyfriend of one learns too late. “The Gypsy Girl from Bluefield” went to the school of hard knocks, became a lap dancer, and then took her sugar daddy for a long ride—all the way to Rio. Sandy LaFramboise of “Finding Sandy Biggers” thought she could outwit a professional jewelry thief, a psychopath, who would never stop looking for her. The sharp-eyed narrator of “Blackmail Is My Business” thought he had the smarts to run a scam past a rich man’s wife and he, too, learned he’s just a minnow in a world of sharks. All the stories feature women who are as tough, hungry, and dangerous as the men who try to use them or control them. It’s an entertaining ride for all readers who prefer violence, crime, and mayhem as vicarious pleasures.
