Hailey’s Paradox is a story of a boy raised on a Kansas farm by a fundamentalist father. Jarett Hailey clings to a belief in Creative Design when challenged by a teacher and decides to become a paleontologist and devote his life to proving the truth as written in Genesis.

That desire drives him to run for the U.S. Presidency and align himself with fundamentalist leaders who are powers both in the religious and political worlds. The dramatic plot moves to a surprising ending with a totally unexpected result.

About the Author
Arnold Simon’s childhood years in Belgium made him increasingly conscious of the rise of Hitler and the Nazis in nearby Germany. After returning to America and entering Yale University, Simon served in the U.S. Navy in World War II as a deck officer, anti-submarine warfare specialist, and assistant communications officer.

Later, as an electrical engineer with the Hughes Aircraft Company, Simon worked on the design of anti-aircraft fire control systems for fighter planes and on the first unmanned soft-landing vehicle to the moon.

Still later, Simon became a partner in a law firm, specializing in eminent domain cases and related matters.

Now an author, Simon has written A Break in the Storm and Hailey s Paradox.
