“Silver” is an historical novel that recounts the glory days of the silver mining boom. Set in 1860’s Silver City, Idaho Territory, the reader is introduced to the heroine, Miss Adelaide Johnston, local schoolteacher and news reporter extraordinaire. She is a busy young woman, reporting current events and of course, a bit of local gossip, in addition to her teaching duties. When she unexpectedly stumbles upon news of a mining battle between two of the largest mines in the Owyhees, she suddenly becomes the subject of her very own story. One that quickly becomes heated and deadly.

Turn back the pages of the Old West and experience a first hand account of pioneering life through the eyes and words of Adelaide Johnston. Based upon the documented events of the ‘Owyhee War’, “Silver” is bound to please both history buffs and fiction readers alike.
