The Skylight Series is a mashup of Urban Fantasy / Magical Realism & Dystopian Science Fiction, but primarily it’s a Young Adult work that touches on subject matter like, discrimination, bullying, loneliness and self-esteem, as our main character, Jet Stroud, is faced with these issues in his first year at Skylight University. He is also affected by a strange condition known as ephebus mortem, or the youthful death, and legend says he will die before his 24th birthday. He challenges his fate by seeking out the remaining students with E.M., and together they search for a cure as strange things begin to happen. The cure is said to be hidden in a series of old paintings. After some effort, they locate a few of the paintings and witness mysterious holographic messages only they can see but struggle to unravel their meaning. As the semester roars to a conclusion, Jet is faced with a shocking revelation and must make a decision that will change his life forever.
